Dinokeng Game Reserve is Gauteng's largest "BIG FIVE" wildlife sanctuary 1hr 40min drive north of Johannesburg & 40min from Pretoria. The popular sunrise 6 am or sunset 4:30 pm game drives are the best times to look for the Big Five Wild Life. A game drive session duration is typically 2hrs 30min on the open back 4 x 4 trucks driven by the resident game ranger who will narrate fun facts about the park and while navigating through the vast dusty trails. Hippos, Elephants, Rhinos, Lions, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Zebras, Kudus, Jackels, Impalas, Weldebeasts & crocodiles are amongst the popular sitings to look forward to. Each truck sits a total of 10 adults, so the rangers will have more time to answer all your individual questions about the wildlife. Bottled water and snacks are provided during a mini-break halfway through the tour. Pick up and drop off in an air-conditioned sedan or minivan from your hotel in Johannesburg or Pretoria or the O. R. Tambo International Airport.
