Ngorongoro Crater

Depart from Arusha with picnic lunches and head for a day tour to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area (NCA). Descending to 600 meters into the crater floor, Ngorongoro is a special place ‘Africa’s Garden of Eden’ is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera full of wildlife, a UNESCO World Heritage Site worthy of the name. If that is not impressive enough it is one of the only places where you can spot the big 5 in one day (if you are lucky!). Animals are present all year-round, making this a destination not to miss. Lions, cheetah, leopard, black rhino, baboons, hippo, elephant, Pelicans, Flamingos, Crowned Cranes, Fire Finches and Kori Bustard Geese … the list here is endless. A day-trip to Ngorongoro will live long in the memory. In the late afternoon, after enjoying the crater tour, you will ascend the crater walls and drive back to Arusha for dinner and an overnight at your hotel.
