Man Mo Temple

Man Mo Temple is a picturesque tribute to the God of Literature (Man) and the God of War (Mo), both of whom were worshipped by ambitious students looking to succeed in the civil examinations of Imperial China.
Built in 1847, this remains the largest Man Mo temple in Hong Kong. To pause for a moment’s respite under its giant hanging incense coils makes for a pleasant contrast with the hectic pace of the nearby financial district.

Graham Street Market

With more than a century’s history, Graham Street Market is a great place to experience life as a local. The sloped street is flanked by food stalls on either side, selling everything from fresh vegetables to live seafood. Along the market, you’ll also find traditional shops selling items that make for great souvenirs. For example, founded in 1917, the Kowloon Soy Company on Graham Street is renowned for its soy sauce made with traditional techniques.

One of the oldest yet also most dynamic districts in the city, Central and Western District – encompassing the sloped streets and small alleys – encapsulates Hong Kong’s rich and diverse spirit. A place where century-old temples share the same streets as fashion-forward concept stores, or where authentic tea houses coexist with modern art galleries, this colourful neighbourhood is at once old and new while also being proudly local and unmistakably global.
Immensely walkable and brimming with attractions, this neighbourhood is perfect to experience on foot. Hong Kong Park

International Finance Centre

Soaring 420 metres above the Central waterfront, this commanding landmark is the tallest building on Hong Kong Island, the second-tallest in the city and one of the tallest in the world. Two IFC was completed in 2003 as part of a complex that includes the upmarket IFC mall and the Four Seasons Hotel, as well as MTR Hong Kong Station, which services the MTR Airport Express and MTR Tung Chung Line.
IFC mall is one of Hong Kong’s most visually appealing shopping destinations. It allows you to complement a relaxing afternoon of shopping with soothing water views, and conclude it with a gourmet meal enjoyed to the backdrop of the glamorous harbour.

Golden Bauhinia Square

The bauhinia is the emblem of Hong Kong. The Forever Blooming Bauhinia Sculpture that gives the Expo Promenade the commonly used name, Golden Bauhinia Square, was a gift from the Central Government to mark the 1997 Handover — an occasion that held tremendous significance for the world’s largest nation and that stands out as a landmark event in 20th century history.

Instagram Pier in Hong Kong

Former Kowloon-Canton Railway Clock Tower

Standing 44-metres tall, the old Clock Tower was erected in 1915 as part of the Kowloon–Canton Railway terminus. The once-bustling station is long gone, but this red brick and granite tower, now preserved as a Declared Monument, survives as an elegant reminder of the Age of Steam.

The Peninsula Arcade

The Peninsula Hong Kong — or ‘The Pen’ as it is known locally — is a Hong Kong landmark. A witness to the city’s eventful history, the hotel has been serving guests in style since 1928.
The Peninsula’s fleet of Rolls Royce Silver Shadows is mentioned in the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun. In 2006, 14 long-wheeled base Rolls Royce Phantoms in the hotel’s signature green made the latest update to the fleet and the largest single order placed for Rolls Royce in the company’s history.

Kowloon City

Kowloon City is about as diverse as Hong Kong gets. Occupying the eastern half of the Kowloon peninsula, this district spans old neighbourhoods, leafy suburban enclaves, historic sites and the former Kai Tak Airport, which is now being redeveloped into a recreational hub.
In between you’ll find streets that are home to some of Hong Kong’s most robust cultural communities. Little Thailand is a go-to spot for fresh Southeast Asian herbs, fruits and spices, not to mention deliciously spicy meals. There’s also a large community of Chiu Chow people who trace their origins to eastern Guangdong — and in some cases, both Thai and Chiu Chow cultures have merged to create something fascinating and unique.

Mong Kok

Mong Kok is Hong Kong’s most congested shopping and residential district, but don’t let that scare you away. The neon-bathed historic streets that wind through one of the densest parts of the world are worth visiting - just for the ‘peoplescapes’ alone. It just so happens that the shopping and street food are excellent too.
The neighbourhood includes one of Hong Kong’s most popular markets, the Ladies' Market, and also has a ton of shopping streets, which are a common feature in southern China. Conveniently, these are where a cluster of merchants sell one type of product on a single street. Mong Kok has entire streets and street sections dedicated to the sale of goldfish, flowers, birds, sneakers, and kitchenware.

Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple

Established in 1934 and renovated in Tang dynasty style (AD 618–907) in 1990, the Chi Lin Nunnery is a large temple complex of elegant wooden architecture, treasured Buddhist relics and soul-soothing lotus ponds. The complex also includes a series of temple halls, some of which contain gold, clay and wooden statues representing divinities such as the Sakyamuni Buddha and bodhisattvas.

The tranquil Nan Lian Garden is a public park, home to the Golden Pagoda and Red Bridge, built in the style of the Tang dynasty. The latter come for the popular Stanley Market; a warren of clothing, accessories and handicrafts; as well as the bright and airy Stanley Plaza. You can also mix sightseeing with shopping by visiting Old Stanley Police Station, a Declared Monument that also serves as a supermarket.
