Babulnath Temple

Pick-up from your hotel, airport or cruise port and set up to explore the famous temples of Mumbai with your private guide. Visit Babulnath Temple - Mumbai’s oldest Shiva temple situated on a small hillock at nearly 1000 feet above sea level, overlooking the Arabian Sea. A shivling, believed to be extant on this spot long before the temple was built, is the main deity worshipped here. Interestingly, the location of this temple on a hillock is meant to be an earthly approximation of Shiva’s heavenly abode on Mount Kailash. For centuries, the faithful have climbed their way up 110 steps to reach the temple. In modern times, believers have it easier as an elevator can take you right to the top of the hill.
