Sarawak is a unique and enjoyable tourism destination, and Kuching is the ideal base from which to go exploring. Fairy Cave (also known as Gua Pari) is an impressive show cave near the former gold mining settlement of Bau and about 40km from Kuching, Sarawak.It is just a few minutes drive from another show cave, Wind Cave, and most tourists would combine both on a half-day trip from Kuching.

Fairy Caves

The tour begins with pickup from your hotel at 9.00 AM or 2.00PM. You will be able to meet and greet our friendly English-speaking driver at the hotel lobby and proceed for the tour. The tour starts and proceeds with a 50 minutes’ drive to Fairy Cave and Wind Cave from Kuching City. The Fairy Cave is about 3-storeys high. After a quick climb through the cave with torchlights, the cave opens up into a main chamber. Sunlight streams into the chamber, enabling you to view the limestone formation of several types. View the beautiful and some eerie shapes of nature’s creations, the stalactites and stalagmites. There is a formation that has been likened to the Goddess of Mercy which at about 3 meters in height resembling a woman dressed in classical Chinese robes, complete with hat, looking down benignly upon worshippers. Another formation looks like an old man crouching down.
