What You Will Do
Dubai souks are famous the world over. In particular, don’t miss the Dubai Gold Souk and the ancient Covered Souk – and spice souk. They’re all housed within the vibrant Deira area of Dubai. The souks are less labyrinthine than formerly, but these historic markets still offer hospitable trading and good-matured bartering.
Famed the world over since the 1940s when traders and entrepreneurs from India and Iran pitched their stalls in this area, the Dubai Gold Market in Deira (also known simply as the Gold Souk) and the Vibrant Spice souk is a major reason why many people opt for Dubai for their holiday.
Window upon window is crammed with bracelets, necklaces, rings, diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires and more, making the Gold Souk one of the most popular tourist stops in the Middle East. In particular, it looks spectacular at night.
Remember that gold and spices are sold by weight, so our guides will be able to bargain down your choice for you.
