Meet your private guide at the St Pauli train station at the time of your choice (since this is Hamburg’s nightlife district, so an evening time is best). Upgrade to kick off your 2-hour walking tour with a beer at one of the district’s many bars. After your drink, or if you decided not to upgrade, stroll past a host of music venues, flashy nightclubs, discotheques and restaurants that come alive at night with Hamburg’s nighttime crowd. As you walk, feel free to ask you guide as many questions about the area as you wish. The beauty of having a private guide is that the commentary can be tailored to your interests. Look out for the popular Zur Ritze boxing club. Explore the Grosse Freiheit and Herbertstrasse, two streets that form part of St Pauli’s red-light district — one of the largest in Europe.
