Visit the sanctuary of Asklepios, built on the slopes of a low hill, overgrown with trees and with a wonderful view of the sea. From the sanctuary you'll see Asia Minor coast. Explore the famous monument of Kos with a skip-the-line ticket. See where Hippocrates studied to become the father of Western medicine. Learn why the sanctuary has served as a healing palace with priests who acted as doctors and medics. Marvel at the ruins of statues at the temple of Asklepios, Propylea, Arcades, and their Roman baths. Continue your visit with a stop at the site's museum. Take in an epigraphic collection presenting the stelae, decrets, laws and other inscriptions on stone found on site at the sanctuary.
