What You Will Do
Kaunas is like a younger brother of Vilnius. Sometimes it seems to be in the shadows of the capital. But make no mistake - this is a superficial paradigm – Kaunas is a very vivid both in history and now:culture is thriving, and it’s always been the innovator vs Vilnius – same 100 years ago – same it is now. See the city and some top sights around, that are usually skipped by others.
Main locations: Kaunas Old Town, Kaunas New Town, Zaliakalnis district
HIGHLIGHTS:
• See castles and streets of medieval ages
• Adore modern architecture of early 20th century
• Get a picturesque ride in the oldest Europe's funicular
• Enjoy panoramic views from the church observation deck
