Enjoy the wonderful Mill to Mill boat trip on the river Spaarne in Haarlem. Cruising off the beaten track in Haarlem & discover along the way the typical Dutch windmills, what more can a person ask for? Not only adults, but also children will find these along the water remarkeable eye-catchers spectacular.
The skipper takes you from the centre of Haarlem past Mill the Adriaan, the Waag and Teylers Museum. After this, you will continue in the direction of Heemstede, a beautiful route along the houseboats. Here you will cruise along mill the ''Unicorn'', you will see a lot of green nature and beautiful stately homes along the Spaarne.
The cruise is provided by the experienced staff who for years sail around the Haarlem canal waters.
In summer, we sail through Haarlem with open and semi-open boats; in winter, we sail with wonderfully heated covered boats.

Molen De Adriaan Museum
In 1778 the Amsterdam businessman Adriaan de Boois bought an old defense tower. He received permission from the city of Haarlem to build a windmill. Adriaan built his windmill on top of the old Goê Vrouw tower. As a result, the mill blades rise high above the Spaarne and catch every breeze possible. On 19 May 1779 the Adriaan smock mill is put into use. For years Adriaan de Boois ground tuff, a sort of volcanic stone, into trass. Trass is a special additive added to mortar to make walls waterproof.
