The Natural Park of Ses Salines is one of the essential visits in Ibiza. The exploitation of the salt mines began in Phoenician times around 600 B.C., and it was the main source of weatlh to the island for centuries. The ponds are the biggest humid zone of the island and are an example of the Mediterranean biodiversity. They are home to 178 species of plants and 210 species of birds which use this space for nesting and resting during their migrations, including flamingos. You can see the area of the ponds and the beach area of Ses Salines.
