What You Will Do
This full day tour with an experienced Caribbean Horizons tour guide offers all the island’s highlights in one fun-filled day. Driving along the picturesque west coast, to the Fishing town of Gouyave, home of Grenada's three-time, Olympic medalist Kirani James and center for the processing of Grenada's Nutmeg at the Gouyave Nutmeg Station! You will learn why Grenada is known as the Spice Isle. At Diamond Chocolate Factory we will sample delicious Jouvay Chocolate. Belmont Estates plantation lunch and dark chocolate are delicious. At the very North of the island, in St. Patrick, you will visit Carib’s Leap, an important historic site in Sauteurs. Sample Rums at a rum shop, made by 200 year-old water-powered River Antoine Rum distillery. Passing the eastern coastal town of Grenville, we cut across the mountains to 1900ft above sea level, through the Grand Etang rainforest, home of the Mona monkey. We end with a cooling swim at Annandale Falls before the return journey to St. George’s.
