Great Pyramid of Cholula

Cholula is considered the oldest city in America that has been populated continuously since its inception. Here is the former Franciscan convent of San Gabriel, one of the oldest in America. Both stand in the company of the Popocatepetl volcano, as if wanting to reach that snowy giant. Not forgetting the Shrine of Our Lady of Remedies, the church of domes covered with tiles that the Spaniards built in the 16th century. They placed it just above the Great Pyramid, the basement that looks more like a hill than an archeological site. Below come and go days, people, life. You can explore the Great Pyramid and walk through its labyrinth of tunnels or its outer paths.
