Visiting Panama and not living the experience of knowing one of the wonders of the modern world. It is something that you cannot miss, the Canal is an extension of 80 KM, made up of three lock systems, two in the Pacific Miraflores and Pedro Miguel in the Atlantic, the largest of all Aguas Claras, which serve as large elevators for the crossing of the ships to our isthmus.
For its operation, the Chagres River was dammed, forming the Miraflores, Maden and Gatún lakes, this being one of the largest artificial lakes in the world.

Panama Canal Administration Building
30 minutes
Located on the hill of the area that comprised the Canal Zone, with Italian Renaissance style architecture taking advantage of light and natural space. It was inaugurated on July 15, 1914. Upon entering the building, employees and visitors alike are struck by the beauty of its high, dome-shaped ceiling. Dramatic murals, columns and a marble floor make the rotunda the main attraction of the historic building. The central staircase, built with pink Tennessee marble, and the elegant mahogany banister are some examples of the luxury with which the imposing structure was built.
