The beach is dotted with beach bars and restaurants where you can grab a bite, a drink, and rent a lounge chair right on the sand. While most of the beach is swimsuit-friendly, the far southern end is known for being clothing-optional.

Border Monument (Saint Martin - Sint Maarten)
This monument stands at the official boundary between the French side (Saint-Martin) and the Dutch side (Sint Maarten) of the island. It commemorates the Treaty of Concordia, signed in 1648, which peacefully divided the island between the two nations. This makes St. Maarten/St. Martin the smallest landmass in the world shared by two different countries, and uniquely, where France shares a land border with the Netherlands!
8
