What You Will Do
This trip will take you to the south of Bahia to visit the historic town of Porto Seguro, the charming Trancoso and nearby beaches. Porto Seguro is within the area where the Portuguese explorer, Pedro Alvares Cabral, first set foot on the Brazilian soil in year 1500, meeting the native Pataxo tribe who still live here. The local coastline is protected by reefs, the ocean is shallow, calm and crystal clear. Trancoso is situated on a foothill overlooking beautiful beaches, cliffs, rivers and coconut groves. This charming beach town is accessible by an unpaved road from Porto Seguro, the trip takes about 1,5h. The vibrant Quadrado is magical in the evening, with live music and restaurants. Dive into a Bahian discovery trip topped by outstanding natural beauty and relaxation. The trip can be done year-round – a perfect escape to a laid-back beach town and a bit of Brazilian culture.
