Immerse yourself in the mysterious archaeological complex of Túcume, located just 20 miles north of the city. Known as the Valley of the Pyramids, this place will leave you in awe with its 26 truncated adobe pyramids surrounding the majestic La Raya Hill. These pyramids witnessed the ancient cultures of Lambayeque, Chimú, and Inca, each leaving their mark on this fascinating site. Explore the remarkable area of Huaca Larga, which developed over 500 years, spanning multiple generations. Here, you will find the impressive Temple of the Sacred Stone, which belonged to the Inca period and houses the funerary remains of an important ruler. Immerse yourself in the history and energy of this sacred place. You have the option to visit Huaca Las Balsas, located in the southwestern corner of the historical heritage of Túcume. This site showcases different construction phases and is adorned with rural paintings depicting mythical motifs.
